Dialysis technician course is one of the most pursued medical courses by candidates in the country. Dialysis technician course is regarded to be an undergraduate Diploma program allowing the candidates to get into the field of Pharmacy, a continuously evolving and exciting career. This field is more involved with the preparation, appropriate use and dispensing of medication that is used for therapeutic purposes. Through this course, the candidates are able to get the minimum qualification that is required to become Registered Pharmacist to practice in the country. This program is also offered in the form of D. Pharm by many medical colleges.

Eligibility according to PCI regulations

The minimum qualification that is necessary to get admitted in Part 1 course of Dip. Pharmacy is being qualified in any exam given below having Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

  • Inter exam in science
  • 1st year of 3 year degree course (Science)
  • Pre-degree exam
  • 10+2 exam (science)
  • Other Indian Pharmacy Council approved qualifications equivalent to the above exam.

There are also some seats reserved for SC/ST candidates as per instructions issued by Union Territory Admin. / State Governments / Central Government. Entrant test is conducted by few colleges. It is important to join the Dialysis college, Haryana, India to get the much coveted certification.

Course duration

This course is for a period of two academic years. Every academic year has been spread over 180+ working days besides conducting practical training for 500 hours spread across 3 months.

The course for Part 1 and Part 2 in Diploma in Pharmacy includes the following subjects.

The examinations are held twice a year, with the first year exam being annual exam, while the second exam being supplementary exam of Part 1 and Part II Diploma in Pharmacy. Both practical/oral and written exams are conducted that carries maximum marks for every subject.

The minimum marks required in each subject are 50% in theory exams including sessional marks, while 50% marks in each practical exam along with sessional marks. Candidates having secured 60% and above in all subjects (aggregate) in singles attempt in Part I or II is declared qualified in First Class. Candidates having scored above 75% qualify in distinction.
